Economist Helmut Kaiser will give an analysis of the German Re-Unification from a financial point of view. This lecture is presented in cooperation with the Darden School of Business. Architectural Historian Eduard Führ of the Brandenburgische Technische Universität, Germany, will analyze the way in which architecture has reflected changes in Berlin and Germany since 1989. The German Department will hold a round table, moderated by Professor Jeffrey Grossman. He will be joined by the Deputy Director of the German Embassy in D.C. Dr. Hans-Ulrich von Schroeter. The event shall create a dialogue between faculty members and graduate students who have experienced the Separation and the Re-Unification first hand and undergraduate students for whom this event is merely a page in their history books.
